Why Formula SAE Electric?
We chose to participate in FSAE because our members have a passion for automotive engineering and sustainable transportation. The Mechatronics program at UNCA is training us in mechanical, electrical, and computer engineering. Formula SAE allows us to gain real-world experience in all three of those disciplines. At most schools, students get class credit for FSAE, but we are an all-volunteer team and are doing this in our free time.
